The tin-bearing mineral is called cassiterite. Most of the time, cassiterite is closely associated with tantalite (tantalum-bearing mineral) and wolframite (tungsten-bearing mineral). The ore must be separated by classification and gravity separation. Cassiterite is smelted and refined to produce tin ingots (containing a minimum of 95% of Sn).
The reduction furnace is used for the transformation of the cassiterite in Tin Metal. The furnace is an electrical arc furnace.
The factory is equiped with 2 electrical arc furnace.
The capacity of the furnace is between 10 and 15 tons of mix per day.
Three refining furnaces are for the control of the impurities.
Two segregation furnaces are used for the recycling of the scrap.
